Dillon dynamometers and Mechanical Force Gauges are specified by many of the world’s major civil and military airline manufacturers as a critical safety component within the method statement for the repair and maintenance of airplanes.

Dillon dynamometers form part of specialized demounting kits, for aircraft support centre’s located at airports worldwide. Dillon dynamometers enable service center’s to gain an accurate measurement of the engine load as it is demounted and repositioned on the wing mountings. Thanks to its precision engineering and robust safety record, many airlines rely on the Dillon dynamometer to weigh their multi-million dollar engines.

As well as accuracy, anti-parallax glass built into the Dillon dynamometer’s display gives visibility from all angles and due to its robust construction, gives repeat performance in extreme conditions: from an air conditioned hangar in Dubai to a forward operating airfield in the jungle.

Thanks to their portability and quick set up, Dillon dynamometers are also used for runway over runs, measuring the exact force required to safely remove the aircraft from soft grass to the Apron Area. Other applications that the Dillon dynamometers are used for are Air Intake Cowl Removal/Installation, Proof Load Test of Bootstrap and Load Test of Chain Hoist.

The Dillon X-force and U-force gauges are used for a number of tests including measuring the force for the pedals within the cockpit, the force used to open and close the doors and replacing bearings within the wheels.

Dillon’s quality standards mean that the MRO can trust our measurements knowing that the equipment is backed by over 50 years of experience and all processes, tests and calibrations are recorded for ultimate peace of mind.
